Like a boxing match with alot of jabs being traded early, the first half was very much back in forth. Then it was a second half full big combination blows by both teams. It would be NorthWood with the largest run of the night going on a 15-0 tear to go up 14 in the third quarter. Meanwhile Fairfield would follow up with one of their own, making a 13-3 run the fourth quarter.
The Panthers held Fairfield to 0 offensive rebounds while snagging 11 of their own. However, Fairfield did shoot 61% from the field (54.5% from 3PT).
NorthWood would move on to a 5-1 record overall with the final horn sounded after a Fairfield bucket made it 49-40.
NorthWood was led in scoring by Trent Edwards with 18 points and 5 steals. Brock Flickinger would finish with 14. Cooper Wiens was again solid with 10 points while again defending the opponent’s first scoring threat.
