An early lead helped NorthWood Panthers JV defeat Fairfield 11-1 on Monday. NorthWood Panthers JV scored on an error and a fielder’s choice by Wriley Symons in the first inning.

NorthWood Panthers JV put up four runs in the third inning. NorthWood Panthers JV batters contributing to the big inning included Nick Lechlitner, Isaac Roberts, and Trever Klotz, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Logan Balasa was credited with the victory for NorthWood Panthers JV. He went two innings, allowing one run on two hits and striking out two. Jacob Raasch and Gage Gongwer entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Balasa went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead NorthWood Panthers JV in hits. NorthWood Panthers JV didn’t commit a single error in the field.

This was the final game for the JV squad who finished their season 14-6.
