NorthWood Panthers snatched the lead in extras to take a 6-3 victory at Northridge on Friday. The game was tied at three with NorthWood Panthers batting in the top of the eighth with two outs when Jaden Miller homered on a 1-0 count, scoring three runs.
Northridge fired up the offense in the second inning, when Davis Enfield hit a solo homer.
Matt Dutkowski and Payton Bear went back to back with homers in the third inning to put NorthWood up 3-1.
Northridge evened things up at three in the bottom of the fourth inning. Ben Becker’s sac fly scored one run for Northridge.
Alec Holcomb got the win for NorthWood. He allowed three hits and zero runs over two and a third innings, striking out six and walking one. Matt Dutkowski started the game for NorthWood. He surrendered three runs on six hits over five and two-thirds innings, striking out three.
NorthWood Panthers Varsity tallied nine hits on the day. Hunter Warren, Sawyer Warren, and Miller each had multiple hits for the NorthWood Panthers.
