NorthWood Panthers (12-1) snatched the lead late in the game in a 5-4 victory over Bremen on Saturday. NorthWood was down 4-1 with two outs in the top of the 7th. Payton Bear would single for his 4th hit of the game. Matt Dutkowski would follow up with his own single. Alec Holcomb would bring Bear home and Dutkowski to third with his base knock. Hunter Warren would then draw a walk to bring the bases loaded with two outs. Up comes Senior Cam Hershberger. On the first pitch, Hershberger ropes one to left field to tie the game at 4 a piece. NorthWood Panthers would then bring up Sawyer Warren, who doubled on a 1-2 count, scoring the one run to take the lead.

Warren earned the win for NorthWood Panthers. He went three innings, allowing zero runs on two hits, striking out four and walking one. Preston King had started the game for NorthWood. He lasted four innings, allowing three hits and four runs (only 1 earned) while striking out six and walking zero.

NorthWood Panthers would get 13 hits in the game (5 in the top of the 7th). Payton Bear, Sawyer Warren (2 doubles off the bench) and Kyler Hauptli each had multiple hits for NorthWood Panthers Varsity. Bear went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead NorthWood Panthers in hits.
