A walk-off single propelled NorthWood Panthers JV to a decisive, dramatic victory over Warsaw, 10-9. The game was tied at nine with NorthWood Panthers JV batting in the bottom of the eighth when Nick Lechlitner singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

NorthWood Panthers JV built a five-run lead in the third inning and then held off Warsaw’s charge. Warsaw put up six runs in the failed comeback. Hutcherson, Greene, and Greene came through with RBIs to lead the rally.

NorthWood Panthers JV took an early lead in the second inning when Jacob Raasch doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring three runs.

In the bottom of the seventh inning, NorthWood Panthers JV tied things up at nine when Kaden Mikel hit a solo homer.

NorthWood Panthers JV tallied four runs in the third inning. NorthWood Panthers JV’s offense in the inning came from doubles by Landon Kemp and Jack Wysong and a single by Mikel.

Warsaw scored four runs in the fourth inning. Warsaw’s big inning was driven by a home run by Hutcherson and a fielder’s choice by Greene.

Josh Stratford earned the victory on the mound for NorthWood Panthers JV. He surrendered two runs on two hits over four innings, striking out two. Beau Stankovich threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

McCleary took the loss for Warsaw. He surrendered six runs on ten hits over five and two-thirds innings, striking out four and walking zero.
