On a rainy May day, the NorthWood baseball fields were left unplayable. The games were moved to Plymouth, while NorthWood still remained the home team for the night.

Nate Newcomer threw a shutout to lead NorthWood Panthers JV past Plymouth 5-0 on Monday.

NorthWood Panthers JV scored three runs in the fifth inning. The offensive onslaught by NorthWood Panthers JV was led by Nick Lechlitner, Newcomer, and Kaden Mikel, who all drove in runs.

One bright spot for Plymouth was a single by Dexter in the second inning.

Newcomer took the win for NorthWood Panthers JV. He allowed five hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out nine.

Houin took the loss for Plymouth. He allowed five hits and five runs over four and two-thirds innings, striking out seven.

NorthWood Panthers JV tallied six hits. Wysong and Stratford had two hits to lead NorthWood Panthers JV. NorthWood Panthers JV didn’t only committed a single error in the field. Trevor Klotz had the most chances in the field with nine.
