On a night where the Panthers sported the Indiana National Guard Uniforms to honor those who are serving and who had served, and on a night where the middle school teams were recognized for their terrific seasons, the boys played SELFLESS and TOGETHER in all facets. NorthWood was able to jump out to a 19-10 first quarter lead greatly due to the efforts of solid team defense and the rebounding efforts of Brock Flickinger who was able to push the tempo for early transition scores for the Panthers. NorthWood would not see a lead change the rest of the game.

Brock Flickinger would finish with 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Ben Vincent led the game in scoring with 13 points. Matt Dutkowski has 9 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 clutch pressbreaker assists to Nick Bean at the end of the game. Trent Edwards and Jason Borkholder each had 8 points. Bean finished with 7 and 4 rebounds.

NorthWood is now 5-6 (1-1 NLC) and will travel to Northridge next Friday night.

Panther Basketball would like to thank the NorthWood Middle School and the programs out of Wawasee and Milford Middle Schools for tonight’s exhibition games in the new AC. NorthWood Middle School had a tremendous basketball season. ALL FOUR teams played for the Big 11 Championship. Our 7th Grade A team finished 13-4 and our 7th Grade B team finished 13-2 winning the Big 11 Championship. The 8th Grade A team finished 14-3 while the 8th Grade B team finished 10-5.

Panther Basketball would also like to recognize all the servicemen and women in our country and around the world. Our gifts and freedoms to enjoy nights like tonight are solely possible for all their sacrifices in the past, present, and future. THANK YOU!
