Panthers News · IMPORTANT – IHSAA Physical Exam Changes for 2021-22

All students that plan on participating on a NorthWood athletic team must complete this task. Health care providers from our entire region have announced that they will no longer be practicing “Mass Physicals” for IHSAA Physicals for high school athletes.  For many years NorthWood has utilized local physicians to complete the annual task of completing the IHSAA physical that is required in order to participate on IHSAA teams.  With this change we are asking all NorthWood student/athletes to make an appointment with your family health care provider as soon as you can after April 1, 2021.  The new physical form is posted on the website under the MORE tab.  It is labeled 2021-22 IHSAA Physical Form.  The old form has been removed.  Athletes may also stop in the athletic office to pick up a form that has already been printed.  Understand that the only form acceptable for this is the IHSAA Physical Form.

All NW head coaches have been informed of this change and will begin stressing to their players the importance of getting this scheduled.  All athletes will turn in their completed physical to their head coach once you have finished the exam.  I can tell you with great certainty if this task is put off until the start of the 2021 Fall season your son/daughter will not begin practice on time.  GET THIS DONE!

Beacon Health has provided the following information below as options to complete the physical as well.
