After a successful second half of the track season the boys team has started the Championship Phase of the season. The second half of the season started with a fourth consecutive Goshen Relays Championship. This was the most balanced relays win in several years. A large number of points came from the throwers lead by Garrett Anglemeyer. The 4×100 and 4×200 meter relays along with Garrett Miller in the 110 meter hurdles were also champions.
The team finished the NLC round robin schedule with a 5 and 2 record. The losses were to eventual NLC champion Elkhart Memorial, and a four point loss to Warsaw. In the NLC Championship Meet the Panthers finished in third place, 2.5 points behind Warsaw. Bronson Yoder earned all NLC recognition winning the long jump and the 100 meter dash. Tyler Evers and Landon Parker were also named all NLC as at large winners which are voted on by the NLC coaches.
The next step for the Panthers is the sectional meet on Thursday (5/16) at Goshen. Top three finishers in each event will automatically advance to the regional next week at Kokomo High School.
