The NorthWood Panthers baseball team has collaborated again this year with retired Major League Pitcher, Jason Motte and the Jason Motte Foundation to Strike Out Cancer. The program is asking for your help and support during the 2019 season as we join Jason Motte as Teammates in the Fight against cancer.
Last season, the NorthWood Baseball family was struck by the passing of Lauren Warren, the sister-in-law of now Panther Alums Hunter and Sawyer Warren. Through generous contributions and the mentality to play for something bigger than baseball, NorthWood Baseball raised over $11,400 for the Jason Motte Foundation. This past fall, our Panther family was hit again with news that a loved one is battling cancer. Kim Sellers, the wife to Athletic Director Norm Sellers and mother to three boys still connected to our program, was diagnosed with this disease. Many players are using her story as motivation to play for something bigger themselves. There are others who have other friends and family members who are currently fighting or who have fought the disease in the past. Regardless of the who, we know our WHY. We are here to fight with them and for them to strike out cancer!
We are asking that you join the NorthWood Panthers Strike Out Cancer Campaign by making a pledge for every hit and/or strikeout made during our 2019 season. All money raised will go directly to the Jason Motte Foundation. If you have any questions regarding our campaign, please feel free to contact Coach AJ Risedorph, at 574-527-6833 or via email at email@example.com. Also, send any completed forms to the same email or delivered to the high school.
Thank you for joining us and becoming our Teammate in the Fight against cancer!
