Panthers News · Weather this week……………

Panther Nation,

As I am sure you are all aware, the forecast for the rest of the week looks to cause some interruption in our schedules.  We will monitor the forecast and conditions and make decisions on contests on a case-by-case basis.

If you see that WaNee Community Schools are closed on a given day, please do NOT assume that any contests that evening are automatically cancelled.  Sometimes the conditions that lead to school closing are very different than those that affect travel to away contests later in the day.  WaNee Administrators are in constant contact with each other as well as that of our opponents to make decisions on contests for that night, which also include practices.  It is important to remember that ALL PARENTS have the final say as to whether your child goes out in poor weather conditions.  All practices in these types of scenarios are strictly voluntary.

Please assume all contests and practices are ON until we communicate that they are off.  We never know exactly what time a decision will be made, but we will do our absolute best to communicate as quickly and thoroughly as possible if we decide to cancel or postpone an event or practice.  If you don’t hear from us, plan that it is a go!  All communications from the athletic department will be sent out through the alert system that is set up through our website, www.gonwpanthers.com or through a communication avenue that each coach has set up with their program.

Thanks, and stay warm!
